Greetings from Pastor Char

One of the things that my husband, Glenn, and I experienced when we first stepped through one of the many doors of the United Methodist Church of Antioch was the warm greeting we received from all the folks gathered for worship on Sunday morning. In the few short months that I have been the pastor of this church, I’ve seen that the warmth and caring doesn’t stop at Sunday morning, but continues throughout the week. Whether it’s the folks staffing the office, people involved in a variety of mission projects, the Bible Study classes, or the teachers in the Parents Day Out program, everyone is friendly and welcoming. We’re many kinds of people, with many kinds of gifts and talents, but we are one in our intention to experience God’s forgiveness, acceptance, and love in Christ and then to share it with all the folks we meet.

You’re invited to check us out – Sunday, or any other day. Our worship services tend to be traditional, yet informal. Come as you feel comfortable.

Hope to meet you soon!

The Trustees are working on finding more storage areas in other parts of the church. However, all groups that use these areas need to be thinking of how to accommodate this dateline. Thanks.

Please alert Pastor Char, Mike DeBenedetto, Heidi Gilday, Carole Maplethorpe, Pat Wagner, or Dawn Vogel of your interest. The committees that need new members are: Member at Large-Church Council; Trustees; Staff-Parish Relations; Finance; Memorial; Missions; and Christian Wellness Team.
