Missions

Missions is defined as the vocation or calling of a religious organization to go out into the world and spread its faith. Every month we help focus the hearts and hands of UMC of Antioch to support both local and global efforts to share this commitment. Watch this space to see how we are helping people to feel God's love through food pantry supplies, packing lunches, spending a couple of hours at Feed My Starving Children, buying backpacks and Christmas Gifts. We Walk and/or Run to support CROP Hunger Walks and A Safe Place. Additionally, we collect monetary donations for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), UMC Missionaries, and many other projects. Our Missions team is committed to be instruments of God's love through the Holy Spirit, as we reach out to our community and the world.

March Focus: PADS of Lake County

PADS of Lake County lunch preparation will be Wed, March 25th at 6:30 pm in the church kitchen. We’ll make 40 lunches and deliver them the next morning.
We are also collecting shelf-stable items in microwaveable ready bowls, such as Easy Mac, Chef Boyardee, Dinty Moore meals, Cup of Soup, Ramen Cups, and etc. These will be delivered with the lunches on March 26th.
